Bill Lloyd, President of the Southwest
Florida Chapter of the Association of Fundraising
Professionals (AFP), and Chief Development Officer of
Easter Seals of SW Florida, announced that the SW Florida
Chapter of AFP has been awarded the 2007 AFP Chapter Ten
Star Award. Ten Star
status indicates that the chapter serves as a model for all
chapters to emulate in accomplishing the goals set forth by
AFP and our chapter leadership. This outstanding
achievement happened under the leadership of Lisa Intagliata,
Past President of AFP and Development Director for the
Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation, and the 2007 Board of
Directors.
The award will be presented to
the local Chapter at the AFP International Convention inSan Diego, CA.

Each non-profit should insert the
official name of the organization and their State registration
number. The language shown in capital letters must be
in capital letters. If an organization uses a
consultant, the percentage paid to the consultant must be
identified and the percentage accruing to the organization
must be adjusted accordingly. The font size may be small,
albeit legible.
A reminder that the IRS requires that all gifts of $250
or more be acknowledged with language that identifies which,
if any, portion of the gift may be treated as a deductible
contribution for federal income tax purposes.
